The Puerto Rico Islanders lost yesterday 2-1, Wednesday May 26, to the Carolina RailHawks in the Islanders 4th game of the 2010 of USSF D-2 Pro League at the Juan Ramon Loubriel Stadium in Bayamon in front of 5,077 fans.

Although the Puerto Rico Islanders dominated in shots on goal 28 to 8, this would not be the Islanders night as they lost for the first time in 5 games in Puerto Rico against the RailHawks.

The game was dedicated to the Metro League and its 26 finalists who will be playing their final games next Saturday May 29 in the soccer field of La Merced High School in San Juan.

The RailHawks took the lead in the 9th minute when Sallieu Bundu received a great passes form teammate Josh Gardner and with a perfectly placed shot beat William Gaudette to take a 1-0 lead.

The first half would finish 1-0.

In second half, the Puerto Rico Islanders were able to tie the game in the 73th minute thanks to a great reaction of David Foley, who found the ball in the penalty area after it bounced off the crossbar and with a strong shot made it 1-1.

The last the 15 minutes of the game were unforgettable. Both teams set out to look for the winning goal and in 85th minute referee Andrew Chapin called a penalty in favor of Carolina. But Gaudette was better and with a great reaction he deflected Gregory Richardson shot to keep the game tied.

Daniel Paladini made it 2-1 for the RailHawks only seconds from the final whistle after a set play following David Horst red card for dangerous play.

7/12/10....I am so disappointed in the commentator of tonight's game against the Railhawks. The commentator should not be using such foul language there are kinds watching and listening to the live stream.
